Is your website showing visitors a security warning?

Nothing is stored and nothing is submitted to the sites being checked. It is a DNS lookup and a TLS handshake, which is what any visitor’s browser does before the page loads.

Why you probably cannot see the problem yourself

If your site broke a while ago, the machines in your office have almost certainly stored an exception for it. From the front desk it looks completely normal. The warning is shown only to somebody arriving fresh, which is every prospective patient clicking your Google result. That is why these sit broken for months.

How common is this

I checked 971 dentist websites across eleven US metros and 71 of them were broken, which is 7.3%. Most were an individual practice problem rather than a platform one, and several had been broken for over a year.
